When I first met Ken Yi at the end of Y5, I was struggling massively with Chemistry. Ken Yi went out of his way during the December holidays to go through concepts that I was not able to grasp fully so that I could enter Y6 without needing to worry about my fundamentals.

Ken Yi has been nothing but a great help to me throughout my IBDP HL chemistry journey. Joining him in Y6, my understanding of HL Chemistry was a huge mess due to the quick pace of lessons in school as well as having shoddy private tutors prior. I thought my chemistry knowledge was okay, but going for Ken Yi's lessons helped me to rethink how much I knew and understood about HL chemistry. Ken Yi's effective and concise notes as well as his well-thought-out assignments helped me slowly inch my chemistry grades ever closer to a 7.
Before Ken Yi, my Chemistry HL grade was at a 3, but after all his lessons and encouragement, I managed to pull up my grade to a 7. Another thing I appreciate about Ken Yi is how open and heartwarming he is. The most unreal comeback ever! Thank you, Teacher Ken Yi, for never giving up on me. I only joined Infinity at the start of J2, which was honestly really late, but he still helped me turn things around.
Before joining, I was failing Chemistry and barely passing my exams. With Teacher Ken Yi's guidance, I improved to a C in the prelims and eventually pulled off an A in my A-Level examinations. Looking back, I honestly wouldn't have thought it was possible.
Thank you for always making lessons interesting, interactive, and engaging, while making sure we stayed focused. In the middle of the year, my Chemistry grades were at an F9, and I was having significant difficulty understanding the different topics. Ken Yi is an amazing tutor and was nothing but guidance and support throughout my IBDP journey and I am so thankful to have him as my tutor. When I first met him, right off the bat I could tell he was dedicated and passionate in teaching, genuinely wanting to see me succeed. During class, he is thorough in going through the content and explaining any unfamiliar concept with precise and exam-worthy answers. Unlike most, he ensures I understand the key concepts and ideas; not robotically and meaninglessly memorise content. With that, my attitude towards chemistry was nothing short of enthusiasm and motivation to excel in the subject. Out of class, I could always refer to his notes for anything I needed the extra revision on and he is also swift to respond in text to any difficulty I have with my homework, IA or just my understanding of concepts.
He initially was a private tutor thus giving his 100% towards me, yet even after opening his centre, I never felt that anyone was receiving less than his 101%. He takes his time in class to ensure that everyone understands the content and no one is behind.
Moreover, the class environment was extremely comfortable as he often encouraged questions and re-clarifications by his students as well as engaged the whole class by challenging our knowledge to enable discussions on important topics. These lessons were fun with some off-topic banter and conversations, lightening the mood and easing the stress of studying for the exams.
He made it easier to revise without the burden of worry. In the end, I easily grabbed my 7 thanks to his help and commitment towards educating his students. Thank you, Ken Yi!
